Craving… cured!

I’m back 🙂

I feel very refreshed and rejuvenated after taking a few posts off from blogging.  You didn’t miss anything too exciting though!

Last night I went to grab a beer with one of my good friends that I hadn’t seen in wayyy too long.  Then today, I ran 10.3 miles on the treadmill, followed by the Gopher game, which we lost :(.  I am crossing my fingers that we beat the Packers on Monday night at least.

Mike and I also went to see Inglorious Bastards.  I thought it was okay, but pretty slow.  But how can you not enjoy a movie with Brad Pitt, at least you get to look at him, swoon.  Mike said he enjoyed it though!

For dinner, we were both having a strong craving for some pizza!!!  We decided to order in from a local place called Pizza Luce.

We got…

  • Ruby Rae
  • A delicious upside down pizza pie with the red sauce on top! Spinach, fresh diced tomatoes, Italian sausage, and mozzarella cheese. Sprinkled with crushed red pepper and parmesan cheese.

-and-

  • Lucé’s Chicken Wings
  • Our plump marinated chicken wings baked in your choice of sauce.
    Choose from:
Spicy buffalo served with bleu cheese dressing
Tangy BBQ with bleu cheese dressing
Spicy Peking with peanut dipping sauce (this one)

Compared to most pizza delivery restaurants, Pizza Luce is a tad on the pricey side.  Sadly, we were a bit disappointed in the pizza tonight.  I’ve had their pizza before and absolutely LOVED it, but tonights was a bit soggy and the crust was a bit on the dry side.  While we were eating it we both agreed we would rather have been eating Toppers, lol.

I really loved the wings though, especially the peanut sauce that had a very spicy kick to it.  The sauce was definitely the star of the meal!  I give Luce two thumbs up for this.

Pizza is pizza though, even the worst pizza still is good (errrr, or at least I think so!), so I shouldn’t complain.

We don’t have much on tap for this evening and we are both thrilled about it, seriously.  We are going to enjoy a few of these…

While working on the puzzle and watching a few O.C. episodes.  We are quite the wild people tonight, huh?  What are you up to tonight?

Just a note about the O.C.  Mike and I are both obsessed with this show.  I remember having ‘O.C.’ nights while living in my sorority house.  We would all pack in the downstairs t.v. room with popcorn, candy, etc., and watch in complete silence.  If anybody talked during the episode they got the wrath!  Did you watch the O.C.?  Did you love it as much as I did/do?

  1. haha so I gotta ask — how did you feel about the scalping scene in Inglorious Basterds?! bruuuuu-tal!

  2. I agree even bad pizza is good to me! I have been craving a beer so bad! I was going to buy some today but I’m home alone and that just felt wrong haha. I wanted to see that movie but decided to wait until video. Glad you enjoyed the break. Have a good weekend girl!

  3. I LOVED the OC. But then it went majorly downhill once Marissa died. I think I stopped watching it like 1 season before it ended.

  4. Ohhhh Pizza Luce – how I love thee!!! I could eat about 15 baked potato pizzas…soooo yummy 🙂

  5. How do you feel about having Brett as your quarterback?

  6. disappointed with pizza luce!?! gasp!! my favorite pizza luce dish isn’t even pizza though.. it’s their roasted vegetable lasagna. which i guess is essentially pizza once you break it down, but WOWW good.

  7. Never an OC fan, but you better believe that i got the wrath about not being a fan! hahahaha

  9. I was obsessed with the OC!! I have the first and second seasons on dvd. I would go crazy for it…especially when the whole Oliver thing happened. I would get all angry and riled up about how Ryan was like totally the good guy but Oliver was like brainwashing everyone. I was acutally thinking about watching a few episodes today. 🙂
